The Teacher's Aide provides assistance in the form of support to teachers, individuals and/or groups of students in a classroom setting.

<p><b>Location: </b>St Matthew's Primary School - Windsor</p><p dir="ltr">St Matthew’s Primary School in the heart of Windsor is excited to invite applications for an in-class support person to join our team as a Teacher’s Aide.</p> <p dir="ltr">We seek applications from those with a caring, professional and focussed approach to helping students with their learning. Relevant educational support qualifications are desirable, although essential qualities are the applicant's aptitude, level of commitment to supporting students and a desire to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and school leadership to enrich the school experience for all students.</p> <p dir="ltr"><span style="text-decoration: underline">The role will be a full-time temporary position for the 2023 school year.&nbsp;</span></p> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Teacher’s Aide will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom during teaching and learning sessions, implement intervention programs under direction and assist teachers with the development of resources to meet student needs.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This role would suit someone with an engaging personal manner and a desire to make a difference.</p> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Some of the activities you will enjoy in this role include:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assisting teachers and students with sporting activities and with school excursions;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student’s development;&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assisting teaching staff with playground supervision;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assisting students with special needs, this may in certain circumstances extend to moving disabled pupils, assisting with positioning, assisting with meals, toileting and dressing of pupils unable to care for themselves.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You will preferably have relevant qualifications and experience</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You possess the capacity and willingness to work with others to devise strategies that help improve student learning.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You’re committed to displaying excellent teaching&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You’re confident in the use of technology</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You have a willingness to use your skills and interests to further enrich our extra-curricular program</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You’re excited about our vision and will add value to our team and community culture&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">You hold a valid and current WWCC, or are willing to obtain this</p> </li> </ul> <p><br>We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
