<p>Marist College Kogarah is seeking an outstanding, innovative and dedicated English teacher to join our dedicated team for 2023.  This position is temporary for 2023 with the possibility of an extension of contract.</p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the College and have the proven ability to utilise contemporary teaching strategies to engage and challenge students in an effective and supportive learning environment.<br /></p><p><u>Essential Criteria</u><br /></p><ul><li>Commitment to Catholic Education, with a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students.</li><li>Qualification and experience in teaching English in Stages 4, 5 and 6.</li><li>Ability to facilitate dynamic and collaborative learning experiences.</li><li>Commitment to academic excellence.</li><li>Exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of contemporary, evidence based pedagogical approaches that support effective learning.</li><li>Capable of empowering students to be independent and creative learners.</li><li>An ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning.</li><li>Understanding of current educational research including assessment practices, differentiation and effective feedback.</li><li>Highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff.</li><li>An ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote a shared commitment to teaching and learning.<br /></li></ul><p><u>Desirable Criteria</u> (but not limited to):</p><ul><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in Sydney Catholic Schools.</li><li>Experience in teaching Stage 6 Studies of Religion.</li></ul><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and CV via email to the College Principal.  Please include contact details for three current referees plus relevant NESA registration, Working With Children Check details and, if appropriate, Sydney Catholic Schools Employee ID registration number.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
