<p>Al Zahra College is looking for a Teaching Director for our Early Learning Centre, Al Zahra Kingdom.</p><p>Al Zahra Kingdom is a unique Early Learning Centre, which offers quality care and education for children aged 3-6. The Centre is a welcoming and safe learning environment where children can grow and reach their potential in an enjoyable, stimulating, and nurturing atmosphere. The Early Learning Centre is on the grounds of Al Zahra College but is an independently run centre.</p><p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build lasting relationships with staff, families, and children. They must have the ability to guide, mentor and empower the staffing team as well as the ability to identify and nurture each staff member’s individual strengths. They will lead the team to create innovative and exciting, high quality learning programs and build their reflective practices whilst demonstrating that you are highly organised, approachable, and flexible. The position comes with an attractive salary package above the award wage, and incentive<b>s.</b></p><p><b>Prerequisites: </b></p><ul><li>ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher qualifications</li><li>Previous leadership experience in managing early childhood education and care services/programs</li><li>Practical knowledge of National Quality Standards</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training</li><li>Current Working with Children Check</li><li>Excellent knowledge of the EYLF</li><li>Practical understanding of key issues and best practice in early childhood education, child health, wellbeing and inclusion, early childhood curricula and development frameworks.</li></ul><p><b>Additional Requirements: </b></p><ul><li>highly developed time management skills.</li><li>The ability to lead and mentor teams, and educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships with one another</li><li>The ability to work alongside an experienced Educational Leader</li><li>The ability to oversee and monitor financial viability of the service through the management of occupancy, general cost management and maintaining centre budgets</li><li>Ensure that all documentation, of children&#39;s learning, is visible and accessible to families and contains high-quality information to meet regulatory requirements</li><li>Create a friendly, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment</li><li>Maintain positive working relationships with all team members</li><li>Ensure a high level of health &amp; safety standards at all times</li><li>Possess excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Be bright, friendly, energetic, and passion and commitment to the high-quality childhood education delivery</li><li>Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, and commitment to personal development</li></ul><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Maintain and assure the high quality of the service in consideration of the NQS</li><li>Lead, manage and motivate a team of educators • Recruit and roster staff</li><li>Administrative duties including but not limited to app usage, emails, accounts and enrolments</li><li>Liaise with families</li><li>Guide educators’ professional development and performance</li><li>Manage centre performance by applying strong business and financial disciplines at a service level including resource allocation, budgeting, optimising utilisation, cost management, staff ratio management and wage costs</li><li>Ensure service meets compliance obligations through developing knowledge and skills in understanding relevant legislation, regulations, Al Zahra Kingdom policies, procedures, and guidelines</li><li>Maintain a safe environment for children, families, employees, and visitors and implement strategies to achieve safety outcomes, constantly driving continuous improvement.</li><li>Direct, co-ordinate, coach and support direct reports, ensuring organisational and individual goals are achieved</li><li>Apply effective communication and leadership strategies to maintain employee engagement and collaboration, including partnering with other local services to promote a shared sense of purpose in achieving positive outcomes for children and families</li><li>Support and implement strategies that enhance inclusion regardless of the child and family circumstances</li><li>Ensure service improvement strategies support AZK’s reconciliation and inclusion priorities and strategies</li><li>Work collaboratively with the Children&#39;s Services Leadership team, other AZK Managers to enable the long day care service to achieve best practice and quality outcomes</li><li>Possess the knowledge and skills to deliver and update the Self-Assessment Tool (known as the Quality Improvement Plan)</li><li>Organise events for the centre</li></ul><p><b>How to apply: </b></p><p>If you are interested in this career opportunity and would like to be considered for the above role, then please send through your CV to <a href="mailto:careers&#64;azc.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">careers&#64;azc.nsw.edu.au</a> and we will get in touch with you shortly.
