St Joseph’s Primary School in Narrandera is looking for a Canteen Manager to undertake a part-time position with them from ASAP to Friday 16th December 2022.

There are orchard tours, cycling and walking trails by the river, and two of Australia’s iconic ‘big things’.<br /></p><p>Welcome to Narrandera, to find out more click <a href="https://narrandera.com.au/" rel="nofollow">here</a>.</p><p><b>Essential requirements:</b></p><p>The Canteen Manager must possess the following personal qualities:</p><ul><li>An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education</li><li>Be courteous and friendly to all students, staff and parents of the St Joseph’s community </li><li>Able to work collaboratively with the principal and office manager </li><li>Provide varied, seasonal canteen menus </li><li>Use time effectively to serve food of a quality standard </li><li>Able to use technology, eg manage online orders and use social media to promote the canteen </li><li>Able to manage volunteers in a positive and respectful manner </li><li>Be able to work in a situation where there are frequent interruptions, e.g. people at the counter, student and staff requests </li><li>Be flexible to respond to changes to school timetable </li><li>Be neat and tidy in dress and appearance as well as possess a high degree of cleanliness around food and food preparation </li><li>Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds &amp; cultures </li><li>Demonstrated personal integrity (the position entails handling sums of cash alone) </li><li>Must have, or be willing to immediately acquire the following: </li><li>Current Senior First Aid Certificate </li><li>Working with Children Check </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organise and control the day-to-day</li></ul><p><b>SKILLS: </b></p><p>The Canteen Manager must possess the following skills:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to build morale, motivate and generally relate well to students, other staff and community</li><li>High level of written and verbal communication skill</li><li>Completed, or willingness to complete, Food Safe Food Handling training (or its equivalent)</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment functional assessment and complete Working with Children and Criminal History Checks.</p><p><b>What is next?</b></p><p>If you are interested in this position and would like further information, please contact Bernadette Irvin on (02) 69592238. </p><p>Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria via email to <a href="mailto:irvinb&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">irvinb&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p> </p><p>Applications close on <b>Sunday, 9 October 2022</b>.</p><p><i>CEDWW is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children and young people in our care. </i></p><p><i>CEDWW is an equal opportunity employer.
