HILLS is seeking applications for an Inclusive Education Teacher Secondary (Year 7 - Year 12) 0.6 FTE. Initial 12 month position commencing January 2023 with view to permanency.

<p><b>Role Purpose </b></p><p>In Secondary School, our Inclusive Education teacher will partner with Year 7 to 12 educators and Student Support Officers (SSO) to provide leadership, clarity and consistency in relation to planning, modifications, adjustments and interventions for students with complex learning profiles and needs. They will have experience in resourcing and equipping educators with the skills and knowledge to plan for, and make, appropriate adjustments and modifications for a variety of learners. They will help implement, support and review additional programs, interventions and high-quality differentiated learning opportunities, tasks, assessments and rubrics to support students with their learning and growth. The Inclusive Education teacher will also work with identified students in one-on-one settings to help build capacity and understanding of learning tasks across a range of subject and content areas. They will work as part of a team, led by the Inclusive Education Coordinator, to ensure all policies, procedures and processes are consistent across the school and are aligned with the relevant legislation and guidelines. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Experience in inclusive education and/or additional certification in inclusive education, including an understanding of educational obligations under the NCCD and DDA. </li><li>Experience in collaborating with key stakeholders (educators, families, allied health professionals) when planning for students requiring ILPs, adjustments and Special Provisions for SACE requirements. </li><li>Experience in implementing literacy and numeracy intervention programs. </li><li>Understanding of working with neurodiverse students and students who may require augmented communication devices. </li><li>Understanding of data collection and analysis to inform interventions and strategies.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications and Pre-requisites</b></p><div>These qualifications/certificates are required prior to commencing employment at HILLS and must be updated for the duration of employment at HILLS:- </div><ul><li>Current Teacher’s Registration in South Australia </li><li>Relevant Qualification and/or Experience in inclusive education </li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) </li><li>Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse &amp; Neglect (RRHAN-EC) </li><li>Current First Aid Certificate </li><li>Current Driver’s Licence </li><li><i>HILLS requires disclosure of COVID-19 vaccination status for the purpose of Health &amp; Safety requirements. </i></li></ul><div><b><br /></b></div><p><b>Application Process</b><br /></p><p>Please refer to the Application Instructions below or our website <a href="www.hills.sa.edu.au/employment" rel="nofollow">www.hills.sa.edu.au/employment</a></p>
