An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior School Teacher, with a primary PDHPE/Sport (K-6) specialty to join our talented team. The ideal role-holder will have a passion for teaching, learning and wellbeing of primary aged children. The role will include being in charge of the Junior School sport programmes. Experience in Football (Soccer) or Netball or Basketball would be well regarded.

The teacher works within an evidence- informed framework and shows a thorough understanding and commitment to best practice in curriculum design. </p><p> </p><p>The position reports to the Head of Junior School and the Head of Sport/PDHPE. <br /></p><p>Recent graduates or graduating teachers in 2022 are most welcome to apply.<br /></p><p>There is a possibility of some rental assistance for up to two years for the successful candidate if they are seeking a relocation to the Southern Highlands.<br /></p><p><b>Skills and Qualifications:</b></p><p>The successful role-holder must: </p><p> </p><ul><li>Have excellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skills.<br /></li><li>Have excellent technological literacy across a range of applications. </li><li>Hold a relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification. </li><li>A willingness and ability to be a K-6 PE and health speciality teacher. </li><li>Maintain NSW teacher’s registration with NESA. </li><li>Hold a valid and current Working with Children Check Number. </li></ul><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b><br /></p><p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes: </p><p> </p><ul><li>Proven passion for the learning and holistic development of students in and beyond the classroom. </li><li>Proven experience of modelling outstanding teaching practice in and beyond the classroom. </li><li>Proven subject expertise and the ability to teach inclusively across a broad age and ability range. </li><li>Knowledge of the current PDHPE primary curriculum and have strong pedagogical skills to meet the diverse needs of all students and to foster every child’s potential. </li><li>Proven commitment to collaborative professional engagement and professional learning. </li><li>Enthusiastic commitment to participating in the College’s wellbeing and co-curricular programme. </li><li>An ability to work with and within a team. </li><li>Well-developed organisational and administration skills including the ability to meet deadlines. </li><li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. </li><li>To be supportive of the values of Oxley College and willingness to be a part of the total life of the College.</li></ul><p> Further information about the College and its programmes can be located on our website.<br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
