Maronite College of the Holy Family – Parramatta is a K-12 Coeducational College under the administration of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family with an enrolment of over 1,250 students. MCHF offers diverse and challenging academic and sporting initiatives, social development and spiritual formation, in a community centred environment.

<p>Applications are invited from an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Stage Coordinator to join our College commencing in 2023.</p><p> </p><p><b> This position is a permanent teaching position with a 2 year contract as a Stage Coordinator.</b></p><p>The Primary Stage Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Executive Team. The Primary Stage Coordinator will work closely with their Stage staff on matters of welfare and curriculum and establish a spirit of collegiality to shape and implement the vision of the College in a way that reflects its Maronite Catholic character. </p><p><b>Key responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Development of the academic curriculum </li><li>Supervision of teaching and learning processes </li><li>Welfare and management of students </li><li>Undertake other tasks and responsibilities, as requested by the Executive Principal </li></ul><p><b>Welfare Matters </b></p><ul><li>Ensure the College student welfare policy and procedures are followed through </li><li>Work with the Head of Wellbeing, Psychologist and Class teachers to ensure a consistency of student welfare and management practices across the College </li><li>Monitor and reinforce school policies regarding student uniform, lateness, behaviour and non-completion of work requirements </li><li>Liaise with class teachers responsible for students’ pastoral care and academic progress </li><li>Discuss appropriate strategies with students, teachers and parents </li><li>Maintain behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe environment </li><li>Address concerns about the state of classrooms, school yard and facilities </li><li>Oversee activities including assemblies, excursions, award ceremonies etc </li><li>Maintain student welfare records </li><li>Manage documentation and follow up on student attendance patterns </li><li>Contact parents and arrange interviews, and document meetings </li><li>Coordinate detentions and maintain appropriate liaison with teachers </li></ul><p><b>Curriculum Matters </b></p><ul><li>Promote academic excellence within the College </li><li>Ensure the timely implementation of the new syllabus </li><li>Liaise closely with Head of Curriculum </li><li>Checking and feedback on all programmes every term </li><li>Weekly meetings with grade partners to discuss assessments and lesson planning </li><li>Regular overview of programmes and appropriate feedback to staff </li><li>Assist classroom teachers with implementation of the curriculum and sound pedagogical practice </li><li>Contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of learning support, extension and ICT programmes </li><li>Maintain structures and processes to achieve a productive, inclusive and supportive learning environment </li><li>Develop, lead and maintain effective professional partnerships with staff </li><li>Advise students and parents about academic requirements and school expectations </li><li>Teach and provide excellent role modelling and competent classroom teaching practice</li></ul><p>For further information regarding the role, please contact the Assistant Principal, Mr Elie Asmar, via email <a href="mailto:easmar&#64;mchf.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">easmar&#64;mchf.nsw.edu.au</a> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
