St Pius X Primary School, Windale&nbsp;is seeking a permanent full time Principal&nbsp;to join the team in January 2023.<br><br>St Pius X Primary School, Windale is located in the Lake Macquarie area just 20 minutes South of Newcastle CBD.<br>Lake Macquarie is home to the largest saltwater lake in the southern hemisphere, enjoy the regions aquatic lifestyle with beautiful beaches just a 10-minute drive away.<br>A school of 49 students, catering from K-6 St Pius X strives to provide a sound educational framework that will equip pupils with the skills to make a worthwhile?contribution to society and ultimately achieve personal development.<br><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3><br><br>The Principal will lead across the school community to:<br><li>Model faith in action<br></li><li>Develop and shape a shared vision focussed on providing quality educational experiences and learning outcomes for all students<br></li><li>Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and all other stakeholders<br></li><li>Support and monitor the learning and growth of effective teachers<br></li><li>Set high standards for students and staff performance.<br><br>Teachers in a Catholic school have a unique role to play and are assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live purposeful lives. The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes.&nbsp; The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.<br><br>The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, preventing those in our care from suffering abuse or neglect, and is committed to being compliant with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards.
