Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the Campbelltown Parish with an enrolment of approximately 480 pupils.

<p><b>Location:</b> St John the Evangelist Catholic Parish Primary School, Campbelltown</p><p>A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2023 until 19 December 2023.</p> <p>Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong promotes an inclusive model of education with the goal to cater for student diverse learning needs within the least restrictive environment and by providing a continuum of support options.</p> <p>The purpose of this role is to assist school communities to build their capacity, especially that of teachers and other staff, to cater for the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>a deep personal commitment to the practice of their faith and their own spiritual formation</li> <li>demonstrated experience as a successful classroom practitioner&nbsp;</li> <li>qualifications and or studies in Special Education, or the willingness to undertake relevant study</li> <li>an understanding of, and willingness to support:</li> </ul> <ul type="circle"> <li style="list-style: none"> <ul type="circle"> <li>Inclusion of students with particular learning needs in the life of the school</li> <li>Quality differentiated teaching in the regular classroom</li> <li>Adjustments to cater for particular needs in the regular classroom</li> <li>Small group and targeted individual interventions within and outside regular class</li> <li>Specialist setting classes for particular needs such as Autism, and Intellectual Disability where appropriate</li> <li>System policies and procedures, and</li> <li>Opportunities to cater for students with domains of giftedness</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>commitment to and capacity to work in a collaborative and collegial manner with staff, parents/carers, external professionals and the School Improvement Services Specialist Support Team</li> <li>a willingness to contribute to the life and culture of the school</li> <li>understanding of the <em>Disability Standards for Education 2005</em> aligned to the <em>Disability Discrimination Act (1992)</em> and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 30 September 2022 at 5pm</strong></p>
