<p><b>Role description:</b></p><p>Applications are invited from qualified Learning Support Officers to join a team dedicated to achieving engaging learning experiences that challenge children to achieve their personal best. The position is for the 2023 school year starting Term 1 but has the potential to become ongoing, dependent on funding. </p><p>This is a 5-day position with the hours being 9 am-3.30 pm each day.<br /></p><p> The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Principal and classroom teachers to support student learning through individual and small group work both within and outside of the classroom. </p><p><b> Applicants must have: </b></p><p>• A current Working With Children Check <br /></p><p> • A current Police Check </p><p> • Two professional referees - including contact number, role, and place of employment </p><p><b>It is expected that the successful applicant will:  </b><br /></p><ul><li>have qualifications in Education Support such as Certificate 3 or 4 </li><li>be committed to the values and ethos of Catholic education  <br /></li><li>be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly, and enthusiastic </li><li>display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be flexible, proactive, and resourceful<br /></li><li>use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support <br /></li><li>be able to communicate frequently and sensitively with families when required </li><li>have experience and the capacity to cater effectively to a diverse range of learning needs </li><li>be able to build positive relationships with children and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued and challenged </li><li>demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students</li><li>be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement </li></ul>
