They will also contribute to, and support, key decisions affecting the life, learning, and development of the Primary School.</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><h4>ABOUT THE ROLE</h4><p><b>The Curriculum and Primary School Leadership Teams work with classroom and specialist teachers, who together, are responsible for student pastoral care, welfare, academic progress, and spiritual growth, and for establishing and maintaining the development of the Christian Worldview within the Primary School.</b> They work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the wider education community to facilitate student learning and to improve student outcomes at Cedar College. </p><p>As a part-time classroom teacher, The Director of Primary School Curriculum will be responsible for teaching all aspects of The Australian Curriculum to a year level yet to be determined (Science, LOTE, PE &amp; Performing Arts are taught by specialist teachers at Cedar College).</p><p><b>We believe students learn best when they are actively involved in learning which is relevant, motivating and that builds upon their prior knowledge and understanding.</b> We value strong relationships that support a sense of belonging and we encourage our students to collaborate and to value the ideas of others. Our learning environments allow students to feel comfortable and safe while inspiring them to learn through a broad range of learning opportunities. </p><h4><br /></h4><h4>Reporting/Working Relationships: </h4><p><b>The Director of Primary School Curriculum will work under the curriculum direction of the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation. </b>As part of the Primary School Leadership Team, they will also work under the leadership of the Head of Primary School. The Director of Primary School Curriculum will charge teaching staff with outworking the relevant strategic aims and ethos of the College. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS</b><br /></p><p><b>Qualifications</b>:</p><ul><li>South Australian Teacher Registration </li><li>Working With Children Check </li><li> Current RRHAN-EC certificate </li><li> Protective Practices online course completion </li><li><b>Early Childhood training, knowledge and expertise will be considered an advantage.</b></li></ul><h4><br /></h4><h4>Application Process: </h4><p>An application form, obtainable by <b>calling (08) 8261 3377</b> must be submitted in order to be considered.
