An opportunity exists for a skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for leadership and Catholic Education to lead our school in our Catholic identity. This is a major leadership role in our school. The Education in Faith Leader will work in close partnership with all members of the school and parish community to lead school improvement. This role will have .6 FTE time allocation.

<p>An opportunity exists for an adaptable, energetic and collaborative Education in Faith Leader to lead Catholic Identity and faith life in our school . This is a major leadership role in our school and will be FTE .6</p><p>The successful applicant must be accredited to teach RE in Catholic Schools and will have post graduate qualifications or a commitment to a postgraduate qualifications.</p><p>The Education in Faith leader will: </p><ul><li>Be an active member of the Leadership Team by enacting the Educational Vision and Philosophy of our school and taking on responsibilities that contribute to the smooth running of our school. </li><li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to and be confident in discussing their faith. </li><li>Oversee the implementation of the Education in Faith sphere in the School Improvement Plan. </li><li>Consult with Parish Priest to maintain strong school – parish links.</li><li>Liaise with teachers in the planning, preparation and resourcing of the Religious Education Learning focus throughout the school to encourage a whole school team approach. </li><li>Work with teachers of Sacraments to support the Sacramental Programs, including workshops for parents.</li><li>Provide opportunities to model prayer and engagement in religious practice. </li><li>Translate a broad and contemporary knowledge of Religious Education and Faith Development into effective learning programs. </li><li>Promote the teaching of RE through a pedagogy of inquiry based learning. </li><li>Lead assessment and reporting in RE and monitor the use of data to inform future teaching. </li><li>Lead staff professional learning through staff meetings and PLTs when required.</li></ul><p> </p><p><i><b>Please see full role description attached.</b></i></p><p>Applications should be addressed to the Principal Ms. Claire Pitcher: principal&#64;smcmeppingnth.catholic.edu.au with an application letter, current Curriculum Vitae and with the details of 3 current referees.</p><p><br /></p>
