The Sydney Grammar School Classics teachers are committed to introducing the boys of the School to the languages and literatures of the ancient world — including Latin, Classical Greek and Sanskrit. All boys at the School study Latin in Year 7; many boys continue with one or more Classical languages in later years.

<p><b>CLASSICS TEACHER </b></p><p><b>(TERM I to TERM II 2023) </b></p><p><b>About Us </b></p><p>Sydney Grammar School is an independent non-denominational day school for boys. The secondary school (7-12) is located on College Street in the city of Sydney and the two preparatory schools are located at Edgecliff (K-Year 6) and St Ives (Pre-school-Year 6). </p><p>All positions close at 4.00pm on the closing date, any applications received after this time cannot be accepted. </p><p>Sydney Grammar School is currently seeking well-qualified and motivated candidates for the following position: </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>Temporary full-time position commencing for Term I &amp; II 2023 (LSL Replacement) </p><p>The successful candidate would need to have experience and be able to teach Latin. </p><p>Ability to teach Classical Greek or Year 12 Latin, would be an advantage. </p><p>The Sydney Grammar School Classics Department is a group of dedicated and experienced Classics teachers, committed to introducing the boys of the School to the languages and literatures of the ancient world — including Latin, Classical Greek and Sanskrit.
