<p>Marist Catholic College North Shore (MCCNS), a coeducational K-12 Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Sydney, imbuing the faith life, values, work ethic and pragmatism of St. Marcellin Champagnat, seeks to employ for the role of: </p><h4>Campus Operations: Asset, Risk and Facilities Manager</h4><h4>Commencing Late October 2022</h4><h4><br /></h4><h5>Role Purpose</h5><p>Reporting to the Office of The Principal, the Campus Operations: Asset, Risk and Facilities Manager ensures the appropriate management of facilities and grounds and manages the school&#39;s overall financial function. The position ensures the efficient operation of the school facilities and services, appropriate audit and supervision of finance and financing and supports educators in focusing on efficient and effective teaching.<br />The Campus Operations: Asset, Risk and Facilities Manager is instrumental in supporting the Catholic ethos and stewardship of the school and is the key focal point of contact between the school and the facilities services of the central office. The position assists with managing, developing and planning new projects, including administration-related tasks such as providing supervision, technical evaluation, advice and approval of required expenditure, liaison with builders and supervision of school based renovations/building</p><h5>Major Accountabilities</h5><ul><li>The Campus Operations: Asset, Risk and Facilities Manager is required to perform tasks that include but is not limited to: </li><li>Leading and developing a small team of facilities and grounds staff and supervising and coordinating the performance of consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with associated standards, legislation and processes. </li><li>Overseeing the management of all college facilities and grounds, ensuring all are excellently maintained by delivering cleaning and grounds services and maintaining supply levels and critical infrastructure. </li><li>Managing the building management system. </li><li>Preparing recommendations for significant repairs, projects or equipment purchases, research and quotes and reporting on progress to the Senior Leadership Team and Building Committee. </li><li>Managing budgetary and financial requirements for all work carried out. </li><li>Overseeing all aspects of School purchasing, contracts management, contractors and service providers, including contractor compliance (induction and WWCC, suitable insurances) are maintained for third party operators. </li><li>Preparing annual budgets and Long Term Capital and Maintenance Plans in collaboration with the Office of the Principal. </li><li>Arranging approvals for payment of progress claims, coordinating contract variations, managing defects liability period &amp; preparing final contract reconciliation. </li><li>Managing projects in collaboration with the Office of the Principal, including preparing council and agency applications, budgets, compliance reporting and engaging contractors. </li><li>Managing, reviewing and implementing processes, procedures and initiatives per WHS legislative requirements, monitoring and maintaining the school&#39;s risk register, and working to identify and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. </li><li>Operating on call for out of hours requirements and emergencies. </li><li>Promoting and implementing Sydney Catholic Schools&#39; mission and vision To know and love Christ through learning and Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning. </li><li>Promoting and abiding by Sydney Catholic Schools&#39; values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth. </li><li>Any other duties as directed from time to time.</li></ul><h4>Knowledge and Experience</h4><h5>Essential</h5><ul><li>Tertiary Qualifications in a property, project management or facilities management related discipline, or a related degree and experience.</li><li>Experienced in liaising with professionals working in building disciplines.</li><li>Evidenced strong computer experience, including the google platform, spreadsheets and database.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to relate to various people and develop sound working relationships.</li><li>Excellent time management skills.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work.</li><li>A good understanding of WHS obligations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative team environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.</li><li>Experienced in customer service and liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders.</li><li>A valid Working With Children Check clearance (WWC) number.</li><li>Willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.<br /></li></ul><h5>Desirable </h5><ul><li>Project Management and Financial Modelling qualifications.</li><li>Experienced in Techone/CiA Financial Management System.</li><li>Current driver’s licence.</li><li>Is a Baptised Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of their relationship with Jesus Christ.<br /></li></ul><p> </p><h4>Key Relationships</h4><h5>Internal</h5><ul><li>Office of The Principal</li><li>Catholic Education Network</li><li>SCS facilities team</li><li>Project Teams</li><li>School communities<br /></li></ul><h5>External</h5><ul><li>Government and non-government partners</li><li>Tradespeople and contractors</li><li>Third-party suppliers and vendors</li><li>Parish and local communities<br /></li></ul><h4>Key Performance Indicators </h4><p>Performance will be assessed against the achievement of the major accountabilities and other specific KPIs agreed on in the performance review process. </p><p> </p><h4>Capabilities for the role</h4><p>The Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) Capability Framework applies to all SCS roles.
