The Head of Department will lead a team of staff in their department. This is a curriculum role. You will have the responsibility for monitoring the curriculum, developing professional learning and supporting the needs of the staff within the department to allow students to reach their academic potential. The successful applicant will have the ability and experience to teach one TAS discipline.

<p>The successful applicant will:<br /></p><ul><li>Be supportive of the College’s ethos and vision </li><li>Preferably have experience in leading teams of teachers </li><li>Be an exemplary leader in teaching, working with students and overall professionalism </li><li>Be energetic, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative </li><li>Have high level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively </li><li>Possess high level administrative and organisational skills including time management </li><li>Have demonstrated experience in dealing appropriately with confidential and sensitive information </li><li>Display creative and effective problem-solving techniques including the ability to anticipate the needs of students, staff and the College </li><li>Have a willingness to seek, undertake and share professional learning</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
