The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of Good Samaritan Education is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning. </p><p>Catholic education in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition is committed to developing students who will engage with today’s world as grounded, hope-filled young people who are equipped to lead wisely, to listen deeply and to treat their neighbour and their environment with justice, love and the compassion of Christ. </p><p>Rosebank College promotes an inclusive, welcoming environment for children and provides transparent, accountable, risk-managed approaches to ensure child safeguarding. </p><p>As a school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College is incorporated and governed by a Board of Directors which is accountable through the Company Members to Good Samaritan Education. </p><p>For further information about Rosebank College, please visit our website: <a href="http://www.rosebank.nsw.edu.au." rel="nofollow">www.rosebank.nsw.edu.au.</a> </p><p><br /></p><p><b><u>About the Role </u></b></p><p>A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Dean of Learning to join the College Leadership Team in Permanent full-time (1.0FTE) position. </p><p>Commencing Term 1, 2023 and reporting to the Assistant Principal, the Dean of Learning leads a team responsible for the creation, delivery and leadership of innovative, high quality and vibrant student learning, within the context of the school’s Learning Framework. </p><p>As a member of the Leadership team, the Dean of Learning will work collaboratively with all Deaneries to strategically lead and manage the Rosebank learning agenda, implementation across all key learning areas and year levels. </p><p>The Dean of Learning is assisted by two senior leaders: Assistant Dean of Learning (Middle School) and Assistant Dean of Learning (Senior School) as well as two Coordinators: Diverse Learning Coordinator and Coordinator of VET and Career Education. The Dean of Learning will supervise and lead the work of the ten Key Learning Area (KLA) Coordinators, ensuring quality learning is occurring in every classroom. </p><p>The Dean of Learning will publicly promote excellence in learning; ensure compliance with all NESA and College requirements; lead the Curriculum Leadership Team (CLT); ensure adequate resources are provided to meet all learning requirements; promote innovation and integration, represent the College at State, National and International learning forums; identify and celebrate learning success; promote conversation regarding contemporary learning approaches; and develop and promote the College Learning Framework. The Dean of Learning will also work closely with the Dean of Professional Learning and Culture, to identify and promote best pedagogical practice and professional performance. The Dean of Learning, is also a member of the College Leadership Team and ensures compliance with NESA requirements. </p><p>The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, passionate and a committed member of our College Leadership Team.
