This important role requires the ability to support staff and students in an Inclusive environment adopting a contemporary pedagogical approach.</b></p><p><b>This position is based at our Norwood Junior School campus.</b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>The primary objective of the Inclusive Education Coordinator is to work collaboratively with staff and families to provide quality teaching and learning experiences that support the needs of students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties, on the Junior School campus (Reception to Year 6). </p><p><b>The College is seeking applicants for this 12-month replacement position of Inclusive Education Coordinator which is a POR 2 (Position of Responsibility, level 2) </b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p><p>A key aspect of this role is the coordination of inclusive educators and their liaison with teachers in the modification of classroom activities and assessment tasks. The role has administrative responsibilities associated with learning needs assessment, reviews and subsequent acquittal to external bodies. The position of Coordinator provides leadership in the educational, curriculum and wellbeing elements which support the distinctive charism of Saint Ignatius’ College as a Catholic school in the Ignatian tradition. </p><p><b>The successful candidate will: </b></p><ul><li>Applicants must have appropriate academic qualifications and teaching experience in Special Education (both Learning Disabilities/Difficulties, &amp; Giftedness) and Primary Education (R-6) </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and skills in inclusive pedagogical practices </li><li>Understanding of The Science of Reading and intervention programs supportive of this approach </li><li>Experience in the application of assistive technologies and differentiated curriculum practices </li><li>Competent in educational technology and possess the ability and willingness to support colleagues in such means </li><li>Experience in PPLs and NCCD requirements </li><li>High degree of parental liaison and student pastoral care embedded within the activities of the position </li><li>Registered as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRBSA) </li><li>Possess, or be willing to obtain, Basic Emergency Life Support Training </li><li>Possess, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Child Check (WWCC) ning </li><li>Possess or be willing to obtain, First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012), and complete Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training. </li><li>Support and attend College activities as required. </li><li>Be flexible and adaptable in their approach to work practices and management strategies. </li><li>Have an affinity with, and preparedness to support the Catholic ethos and Ignatian charism of the College. </li><li>The successful applicant must be an engaging educator who prides themselves on being an effective communicator who can build meaningful relationships with students, peers and parents. </li></ul><p><b><i>COVID-19 Vaccination Evidence: </i></b></p><p><i>Employment and commencement is subject to the provision of evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 or the provision of a medical exemption endorsed by the Chief Public Health Officer. </i></p><p><b>Application process: </b></p><p>Further information regarding the position and application requirements along with other employment opportunities at Saint Ignatius’ College can be found by visiting the College website: <a href="https://ignatius.sa.edu.au" rel="nofollow">https://ignatius.sa.edu.au</a> </p><p>Applications should be addressed to Mr Nic Boys, Head of Junior School, submitted in PDF format with a completed Applicant Declaration form for the attention of Rebecca Giovine, People and Culture Manager and emailed to employment&#64;ignatius.sa.edu.au </p><p><b>The closing date for applications will be 9:00am Monday, 15 August 2022. </b></p><p>Late applications cannot be accepted.
