Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional that will Work collaboratively with their Team to support the ongoing provision of a high quality Catholic Education for all students across the Diocese.

<p>Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) assists 29 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools located throughout Regional NSW, to maximise student learning, growth and development.</p><p>CEDWW staff are responsible for providing on-going operational guidance and administrative assistance across the areas of Learning and Teaching, Student Wellbeing and Diverse Learning, Evangelisation and Religious Education, School and System Improvement, Finance and Resources, Information and Communication Technologies and People and Culture services.</p><p>To find out more about the Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga, click <a href="https://ww.catholic.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">here</a>.</p><p><b>What we can offer: </b></p><ul><li>$112,002.76 - $151,454.25 (depending on experience and qualifications).</li><li>Full - Time position starting January 2023.</li><li>Three (3) year contract with the option for an additional three (3) years subject to ongoing successful Performance Reviews.</li><li>Located at head office in Wagga Wagga&#39;s CBD.</li><li>Access to Salary Packaging (Maxxia is our Salary Packaging Provider).</li><li>Access to our Employee Assistance Program.</li></ul><p><b>Your new role:</b></p><p>The Senior Education Officer T&amp;L (Secondary) ensures the ongoing provision of high quality Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, through a focus on leading the provision of learning programs, pedagogies and system initiatives to improve school performance, student achievement and teacher practice. The Senior Education Officer’s role includes management of the Secondary Teaching and Learning team, including responsibility and oversight of team program initiatives, strategic priorities and program budgets and staffing.</p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>Lead a team of learning and pedagogy professionals to support the development of highly performing school teams, drawing on research and data from a range of sources to inform evidence-based practice. </li><li>Leadership and management of the Secondary Teaching and Learning team, including responsibility and oversight of team-driven system program initiatives, strategic priorities and governance and oversight of system-wide teaching and learning programs, teaching and learning budgets and program-based staffing in secondary schools. </li><li>Informed by the CEDWW Strategic Plan, CEDWW Framework for Learning and the analysis of data, lead the development and implementation of system-wide improvement initiatives to improve student learning, school performance and achievement. </li><li>Work collaboratively with the Senior Education Officer-Primary, and others on shared K-12 Teaching and Learning Initiatives, responsibilities and agendas as these arise for the team, system and/or schools. </li><li>Design professional learning experiences and appropriate resources for teachers and school leaders based on current research in effective pedagogies and school and system data. </li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with schools, external networks and other best practice organisations to deliver high quality learning for all students in the diocese. </li><li>Design system-wide strategies and experiences to engage school leaders and teachers in developments around the delivery of new and existing NSW 7-12 syllabuses. </li><li>In collaboration with the School and System Improvement team, lead school leaders in the administration, support and implementation of school based National and State Assessments including NAPLAN, HSC, Annual Reporting cycles, etc. </li><li>Lead the development and implementation of new policies and directions in teaching and learning 7-12. </li><li>Work with the System Performance Leader (Secondary) to coordinate networks to build capacity and support effective teaching and learning 7-12.</li></ul><p>Position description is attached.</p><p><b>Qualifications Licences and Competencies </b></p><ul><li>Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training. </li><li>Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation </li><li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond </li><li>Current Drivers Licence </li><li>Current Working With Children Check </li><li>Current National Criminal History Check</li></ul><p><b>Skills and Experience </b></p><ul><li>Recent school or system Leadership experience. </li><li>Highly developed communication skills in a range of forums and media. </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning pedagogies, curriculum and practice 7-12. </li><li>Ability to think critically, strategically and operationally, implementing a structured cycle of improvement initiatives, reflecting on and adapting processes as required to meet successful outcomes. </li><li>A high level of relational skills evidenced in a range of circumstances. </li><li>Ability to understand, interpret and analyse data relevant to scope of practice and position. </li><li>Experience in management of budgets, understanding of relevant policy, administration procedures and other areas of governance as appropriate to the scope and intent of the role.</li></ul><p><b> What is next?</b><br /></p><p>If you are interested in this position and would like further information, please contact <b>Prue Horan</b>, Deputy Director on 0407 835 127.</p><p> </p><p>Applicants should submit the following via email <a href="mailto:recruitment&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">recruitment&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au</a>:</p><p>A resume of no more than two (2) pages, a Cover Letter of no more than one (1) page outlining why you are applying for the position and what you will bring to the position;<br /></p><p>A supporting statement of no more than three (3) pages describing your experience and capabilities in the following areas of responsibility: Leading Catholic Identity and Mission, Leading Learning and Teaching, Developing Self and Others, Leading Improvement, Innovation and Change, Supporting the Management of the Team and School, Engaging and Working with Stakeholders.</p><p>Applications close on <b>Sunday, 21 August 2022.</b></p><p><i>&#34;CEDWW is a child related employer and is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children and young people in our care&#34;
