MACS, the largest Catholic school employer in Australia, serves, supports and governs Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, with a central enterprise function, of over 600 staff members, supporting approximately 300 Catholic schools.</p> <p><strong>WHY WORK FOR US?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional development opportunities with a defined personalised annual budget</li> <li>Generous salary and conditions</li> <li>Enhancing the education of more than 150,000 students</li> </ul> <p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong><br> <br> This is a fixed term 18 month role at our East Melbourne office.</p> <p>Working as part of a team, the Education Officer with specific responsibility (NCCD) role, will be responsible for building the capacity of principals and school leaders to implement inclusive teaching practices and legislated responsibilities in the implementation of the NCCD model, to meet the needs of students with cognitive, sensory, physical and social/emotional needs. This role will assist the General Manager, Learning Diversity in the coordination and implementation of specific purpose initiatives within financial guidelines, budget requirements and compliance responsibilities to appropriate Australian and State Governments, with particular reference to the Disability Discrimination Act -Disability Standards for Education.<br> <br> <strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist the General Manager, Learning Diversity in the coordination and implementation of specific purpose initiatives within financial guidelines, budget requirements and compliance responsibilities to appropriate Australian and State Governments with particular reference to the Disability Discrimination Act -Disability Standards for Education.</li> <li>Build the capacity of school leaders to understand inclusive education, NCCD and related legislation (e.g. Australian Education Act and Regulations, Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education).</li> <li>Provide expert advice, coaching and consultancy support to school leaders informed by MACS/CECV policies and guidelines (e.g. CECV Intervention Framework, CECV Positive Behaviour Guidelines, and CECV Guidelines for the Provision of Personal Care Support in Schools).</li> <li>Provide administrative support to the CECV Student Support/NCCD Working Party and related funding and program management.</li> <li>Provide functional leadership to the Learning Diversity team to oversee the NCCD quality assurance responsibilities of CECV.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have extensive experience in supporting leaders and teachers in schools regarding legislated responsibilities and the implementation of the NCCD model.</li> <li>You can demonstrate a strong understanding of State and National polices and curriculum in relation to inclusive teaching practices including Nationally Consistent Collection of Date (NCCD), Response to Intervention and the universal design for learning to support the health, wellbeing, academic and/or behavioural needs of students.</li> <li>Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including: <ul> <li>experience in working collaboratively with school leadership teams;</li> <li>ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to produce, organise and deliver Professional Learning programs using online/blended modes of engagement, webinars and online modules.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to chair meetings, prepare briefing papers, funding applications, and reports for various boards and committees.</li> </ul> <p>Salary range for this position is $108,160 (E01) - $126,695 (E06) per annum exclusive of superannuation as specified in the <a href="http://www.cecv.catholic.edu.au/Media-Files/IR/EB/Proposed-VCEMEA-2018/VCEMEA-2018-web.aspx">Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018</a> and may include additional allowances dependent on qualifications and experience.<br> <br> <strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong><br> <br> Please refer to the <a href="https://cem.elmotalent.com.au/uploads/cem/files/PDEducationOfficerwithSpecificResponsibilityNCCD(1).pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">position description</a> for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.<br> <br> <a href="https://cem.elmotalent.com.au/careers/careers/job/view/401">Click to Apply now</a>.
