<p><b>About the school</b><br /></p><p> </p><p>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College is a remote Aboriginal school located in Wadeye 400 km Southwest of Darwin. The Kardu Diminin people are the traditional owners of the Wadeye country. There are over 20 clans from the surrounding Thamarrurr region residing in Wadeye and attending the school. The school operates a Family as First Teachers (FaFT) program, preschool, primary and secondary school. The majority of people in Wadeye speak Murrinhpatha as a first language. The school has been delivering bilingual education in Murrinhpatha and English for over 40 years.<br /></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>College Requirements </b></p><p>• Support the Catholic ethos of the College. </p><p>• Support the Vision and Mission statement of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College. </p><p>• Support the Northern Territory Catholic Education Vision and Mission Statement. </p><p>• Personal Accountabilities </p><p>• Respect and model the Gospel values in all interactions with people in day-to-day life. </p><p>• Be active, collaborative, authentic, professional and relational members of the College community. </p><p>• Support a school culture that empowers students to think critically, discern wisely and value the search for truth. </p><p>• Openly and honestly provide support to colleagues through collaboration, public support of other colleagues, and maintaining the dignity of all people within our school community. </p><p>• Openly and honestly enter into dialogue with the Principal and Leadership team with relevant issues where necessary and appropriate. </p><p>• Display passion, commitment, professionalism, integrity, knowledge, and expertise. </p><p>• Demonstrate forward thinking and openness to change. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Key Duties and Responsibilities </b></p><p>• To demonstrate forward thinking and openness to change. </p><p>• Provide advice and assistance on maximising the potential of ICT operations within the school/college, including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement. </p><p>• Support the school community with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment in accordance with departmental, school and manufacturer&#39;s policy, guidelines and network standards. </p><p>• Assist in the provision of staff in-service training on the effective application of ICT tools to successfully achieve and deliver educational services to students. </p><p>• Provide effective and efficient support to staff and students to resolve problems associated with school computing facilities whilst ensuring high end customer focus and communication. </p><p>• Provide regular preventative maintenance and routine and emergency repairs to all ICT facilities and associated electronic equipment. </p><p>• Liaise with ACARA and Department of Education to set up, coordinate and administer NAPLAN Examinations. </p><p>• Report four weekly enrolment and attendance data to the NT government and student enrolment and attendance data and staff numbers to the federal and territory governments for the Age Grade census. </p><p>• Liaise with auditors for the audit of the data reported during the census reference period. </p><p>• Manage the school-based attendance and student information management software (CES). </p><p>• Work with the office administrator to complete and input new student enrolment. </p><p>• Provide timely attendance data to the Principal and other agencies using the reporting functionalities of CENET.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Requirements </b></p><p>Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia and will be required to hold a current NT Working with Children Clearance notice (Ochre Card) and NT Teacher Registration. </p><p>Please email a cover letter and current CV with three professional referees to principal Jacqueline Conboy at jacqueline.conboy&#64;nt.catholic.edu.au or phone 08 8978 2477 for further information.</p><p>Start date: Term 4, 2022</p><p>Application closing date: N/A (Applications assessed as received.)</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
