St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Lake Munmorah is seeking to appoint an Intensive Learning Support COVID Tutor. Full or part time opportunities negotiable to support students in term 3 and 4 2022.

Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Lake Munmorah is seeking to appoint an Intensive Learning Support COVID Tutor.</p><p>The successful candidate will be required to host small-group sessions for between 2-5 students at a time. Each session will be 20-50 minutes and will run over 12-20 weeks. You will be able to co-plan the program and design learning activities to meet the individual needs of each student; more so you will be afforded the opportunity to provide feedback to the students, their teachers and care givers. </p><p>The successful candidate will have oversight of assessing the students’ learning progress using a pre, mid and post assessment format, this will be done in collaboration with teachers, the learning support team and the students’ personalised learning and support plans. You will be expected to maintain records on the program’s success. You will have the opportunity to: </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Specific Criteria: </b></p><p></p><ul><li>Effective classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School. </li></ul><ul><li>Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and sound pedagogical practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to understand the individual needs of students to maximise learning opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to monitor professional learning needs and align them to the learning needs of students. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community. </li></ul><ul><li>Able to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, colleagues, parents/carers and community members. </li></ul><ul><li>We are seeking suitably qualified candidates to join our learning community from now until the end of this year. This position could be full-time or part-time and can be delivered before, during or after school. </li></ul><p></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Vaccination Requirements for our Staff </b></p><p>Our Covid-19 Vaccination Policy requires that all school staff have received two doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccine or possess a valid contraindication medical certificate. These requirements are essential to gain employment with Catholic Schools Broken Bay.
