Seeking a Learning Designer to support AISNSW in the design, development, and delivery of a variety of professional learning experiences & materials.

<p>The Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW) is the peak body supporting and representing independent schools in NSW and provides a range of services across the state. With the core values of integrity, professionalism, respect, and collegiality. AISNSW seeks to further the ideals of independent education: choice, diversity, quality, opportunity, and excellence. </p><p>This position is in the Learning Design Hub (LDH), a centralised team that provides support across the organisation and is a central part of the Leadership and Learning portfolio. The LDH consists of designers with relevant expertise to contribute to the development of high-quality professional learning experiences and a strong focus on building staff capabilities in the area of learning design. </p><p>The LDH work with staff on high profile and large scale projects such as curriculum reform, school governance, compliance training, wellbeing, and a broad range of sector wide learning initiatives. Learning designers in the LDH work collaboratively with staff across all AISNSW portfolios. </p><p>We are seeking a learning designer to support the organisation in the design, development, and delivery of a variety of professional learning experiences, learning materials, briefings, group presentations, conference facilitation and instructional coaching. These professional learning experiences will include blended learning, hybrid learning, face-to-face, webinar, and self-paced programs. </p><p>To be successful in this position you need to be a person of integrity, with exceptional skills in learning design and organisational development, sound knowledge of adult learning principles, and the ability to work to deadlines. </p><p>We look for enthusiastic, dedicated, and adaptable people who demonstrate initiative and professional behaviour and support the purpose and values of the organisation. AISNSW team members are encouraged to actively expand and enhance their own expertise through participation in ongoing professional learning that supports and enhances career development into the future. </p><p><b>Key responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Indicators that the role is being undertaken successfully would include: </li><li>Engaging and collaborating with colleagues (subject matter experts) to offer and create appropriate learning design options. </li><li>Designing solutions compatible with assistive and accessible technologies for a range of audiences and the application of inclusive learning design. </li><li>Progressively monitoring the effectiveness of programs and modifying where required. </li><li>Designing and delivering of all facets of a learning project (end to end). </li><li>Providing support for internal and external learners. </li><li>Contributing to and supporting a range of strategic projects across the organisation. </li><li>Willingly undertaking other duties as required by the Chief Executive. </li></ul><p><b>Education and experience </b></p><ul><li>Experience designing for online, blended, hybrid and face-to-face learning programs. </li><li>Experience as a learning designer across a range of platforms. </li><li>Experience using different design frameworks. </li><li>Strong learning and development background. </li><li>Experience in using LMS and/or LXP across a range of learning modes and contexts. </li><li>Project management experience. </li><li>Sound knowledge of adult learning principles and contemporary learning, training, and development. </li></ul><p><b>Personal attributes </b></p><ul><li>Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting timeframes. </li><li>Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. </li><li>Desire to be responsive and open-minded, combined with a willingness to be adaptable and a preparedness to show initiative. </li><li>Demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, and design mindset. </li><li>Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within dynamic teams across different programs. </li></ul><p><b>General conditions of the role </b></p><p><b>Agreement:</b> The role is a one-year maternity leave cover. </p><p><b>Hours of Work:</b> The role is full time, however part time would be considered. </p><p><b>Annual Leave:</b> Four weeks annual leave is provided. </p><p><b>Professional Learning:</b> A meeting for all staff is held once per term tailored to be informative, practical, and collaborative in nature.
