<p><b>Year Level/Subject: Primary </b></p><p> </p><p><b>Sacred Heart School Kew is seeking a School Psychologist/Counsellor for 5 hours a week commencing at 8.30am on either Monday or Tuesday. This position is for the remainder of the 2022 school year.</b> Our school comprises straight year levels, two streamed class structure. Sacred Heart School Kew is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The School Psychologist/Counsellor is accountable to the Principal and the Learning Diversity Leader, and is required to work closely with the Leadership team, teaching staff, students and families. The School Psychologist/Counsellor works collaboratively with the other members of the Learning Diversity team to achieve outcomes in the best interests of each client. The School Psychologist/Counsellor may need to refer students and their families to external professionals from time to time, as the need arises and be one of the main contact people between external professionals. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The role will include a mix of assessment, counselling, education of parents and staff and provision of group social and emotional learning, e.g. self-regulation social skills. Experience with a range of tools to assess the social, emotional and educational needs of students in a Primary School setting is desirable.
