St Joseph's is seeking an enthusiastic learning support officer, to join the learning diversity team in our school until the end of the school year. This is a part-time role, consisting of three days per week (Wed-Fri) from 8.45 am until 3 pm.

<p>This role is for Semester 2 only and is Wednesday to Friday,  from 8.45 am until 3pm.</p><p>At St Joseph’s, Learning Support Officers are responsible for assisting students with additional needs by supporting and extending their learning in the classroom, under the guidance and with the cooperation of the classroom teacher. Learning support officers also contribute to assisting students to develop the strategies and skills necessary to foster learning, independence and confidence. </p><p><b> Roles and responsibilities will include: </b></p><ul><li>Providing support to teachers by assisting students with their learning </li><li>Working supportively with students and teachers in achieving the goals outlined in Personalised Learning Plans </li><li>Recording information regarding the activities and progress of student learning </li><li>Liaising with Classroom teachers to plan learning activities for students who require additional support </li><li>Providing assistance to students with routine school tasks and assisting with their organisational skills </li><li>Working collaboratively with the Intervention Team to devise programs of work and to pursue professional development </li><li>Contribution to a child-safe environment, familiarity with and compliance with the School&#39;s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety </li></ul><p> </p><p><b>About You:</b></p><p>• Qualifications in learning support and disability education would be advantageous</p><p>• Experience in supporting students with language delay would be advantageous</p><p>• A positive and adaptable team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues in order for students to achieve the best educational and social outcomes</p><p>• Personal commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all students </p><p>• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills<br /></p><p>Please email the principal, Michelle Moore, with a cover letter and resume, including the names and contact details of three referees.
