<p><b>OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE </b></p><p>The Laboratory Technician collaborates with and assists the College Laboratory Manager and Learning Leader - Science in the efficient management and administration of the science laboratories on each campus. </p><p>The Laboratory Technician performs duties as directed by the Learning Leader - Science, working independently with little supervision to perform responsible tasks associated with the efficient operation of the laboratory. </p><p>The Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Learning Leader – Science and the College Laboratory Manager. </p><p><b>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>The responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician include but are not limited to:<br /></p><p>i. Providing support for teaching staff within the Science Faculty; </p><p>ii. Preparation and maintenance of the Science Laboratories; </p><p>iii. Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety guidelines are maintained within the Science Laboratories; </p><p>iv.
