Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking a Middle & Senior (Years 7-12) Mathematics (Maths Methods) for the remainder of the 2022 school year, to commence on Monday 11 July 2022. This position is FTE 0.83.
This position will be offered with a PAR - Maths Curriculum Leader.
The ability to teach Senior Mathematics is essential.
<p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.
</i></p><p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 820 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.</i><br /></p><h5><i><br /></i></h5><h5><i>The ability to teach Senior Mathematics is essential.<br /><br /></i></h5><ul><li><b>This is a Fixed Term, FTE 0.83, position for Semester 2, 2022.</b></li><li><b>The commencement date is Monday 11 July 2022.</b></li></ul><h4><b><i><br />The following selection criteria, which can also be found in the attached Position Description, must be addressed by all applicants.<br /><br /></i></b></h4><h4><b><i>SELECTION CRITERIA</i></b></h4><h5><b><br />Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College and how it influences Pastoral Care (this may include):</b></h5><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to lead children in Christian worship
</li><li>Willingness to contribute to the maintenance of the Christian based caring atmosphere of the College
</li><li>Ability to maintain a positive focused, well-managed teaching environment with a high standard of pastoral care using Restorative Practices
</p><h5><b>Demonstrated ability to deliver a high quality teaching and learning programs (this may include):</b></h5><ul><li>Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Syllabus documents
</li><li>Ability to plan effective documented programs which include weekly plans and term overviews
</li><li>Ability to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students
</li><li>Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum
</li></ul><h5><b>Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of the College team.</b></h5><ul><li>Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to, and evolve the extra-curricular life of an expanding College
