<p><b>Location:</b> John Therry Catholic College, Rosemeadow</p><p>John Therry Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational school situated in Rosemeadow in the city of Campbelltown and part of the Diocese of Wollongong. Established by the Marist Brothers the College maintains a strong Marist charism, tradition and affiliation with Marist Ministries. The College provides a wide curriculum to approximately 1000 students as we strive for academic success while offering many sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. Our motto, Recta Sapere – (to know what is right) is lived throughout the College as we develop young people who will make a positive contribution to our community and continue to make a difference in an ever-changing world.</p> <p>A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2023. The successful applicant will be required to teach Science.&nbsp; The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Science.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li> <li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment&nbsp; with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>VACCINATION REQUIREMENT</p> <p>CEDoW recognises the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone in the workplace is central to the mission and success of our schools and offices.
