Temporary Position for Semester 2, 2022 (ongoing into 2023 very likely). Days/Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 8:00 - 3:30pm

<p>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College is seeking an energetic Learning Support Officer in this temporary position for Semester 2, 2022.</p><p>The position encompasses supporting and working with a range of students with diverse learning needs. The students include those with physical and accessibility needs as well as students with learning difficulties.<br /></p><p>Successful applicants for this position will have a demonstrated record of developing positive relationships with students.</p><p><i>This is a temporary position for 2022. Possibility of extension into 2023 and beyond for the successful candidate.</i></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>A working understanding of, and overt commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School in the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Tradition.</li><li>Experience in working with small groups of students in secondary education.</li><li>Assisting with the personal care needs of students with physical disabilities including lifting, transfers, toileting and wheelchair support.</li><li>Accompanying students to off-campus curricular and extra-curricular events such as excursions, sport and camps.</li><li>The capacity and commitment to work collaboratively with the Learning Support Team, classroom teachers and students.</li><li>The capacity to assist individual students with specific learning needs in the classroom.</li><li>The capacity to contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations.</li><li>The capacity to contribute to course materials for Learning support students.</li><li>Certificate III/IV in Education Support.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements for position:</b></p><ul><li>Senior First Aid Certificate</li><li>WWCC Clearance</li><li>Classification to work in Sydney Catholic Schools</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply </b></p><p>Please click &#39;Apply for Job&#34; and submit your cover letter, and resume, including three referees addressed to Brigid Taylor- Principal;</p><p>c/o- <a href="principal&#64;olshkensington.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principal&#64;olshkensington.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p><i><b>Please note: </b>Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
