A Co-educational Catholic College serving the Macarthur area with an enrolment of approximately 1125 pupils.

<p><b>Location:</b> Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan</p><p dir="ltr">The Director of Schools invites expressions of interest for tutors to be involved in supporting students through a tutoring program to improve learning outcomes after the COVID interruptions of 2021. This program will begin on the 18 July 2022 (start date negotiable) until 20 December 2022. The program provides flexibility of employment from full time to part time and partial days.</p> <p>SCOPE OF ROLE</p> <p dir="ltr">Suitable applicants may be:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Qualified teachers</li> <li dir="ltr">Educational Paraprofessionals - completed or completing Cert III in Education Support, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Student enrolled in an initial teacher education course approved by NESA.</li> <li dir="ltr">Non-Teaching Educators – retired teachers without current NESA accreditation, university educators, students enrolled in a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching without conditional accreditation from NESA.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Tuition may be provided to small groups of 2–5 students during school hours or alternatively outside of school hours.</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate an understanding and commitment and purpose of a Catholic School within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Have qualifications, skills and expertise in the key learning area that is the subject of the tuition or be able to work under the guidance of an accredited teacher.</li> <li dir="ltr">The capacity to be able to support students to develop skills specifically related to literacy or numeracy within the context of a specific subject area.</li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to co-plan and implement an effective tutoring program</li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to use a range of assessment strategies to inform student learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to provide feedback on student progress in the related focus area.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Strong organisational skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</li> <li dir="ltr">ability to maintain confidentiality and display discretion.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>VACCINATION REQUIREMENT</p> <p>CEDoW recognises the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone in the workplace is central to the mission and success of our schools and offices.
