St Thomas Aquinas is seeking a passionate and skilled Reading Recovery teacher to support student literacy progress.

As the Reading Recovery teacher you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Teach Reading Recovery students daily</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Monitor and analyse Reading Recovery student progress</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Communicate and collaborate with school teams about the progress of the Reading Recovery students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with Reading Recovery tutors in data analysis and planning</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supporting K-6 literacy professional learning initiatives</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students and support an inclusive learning environment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A natural aptitude and drive to work with and within a collaborative team environment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A passion for transformational education, integrated into curriculum and delivered in a faith based environment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated passion for transforming the lives of young learners</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A capacity to lead is advantageous, as this role may attract leadership/coordinator remuneration and responsibilities</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><br><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
