<p>Hunter Trade College is an accredited senior school and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Located in the Hunter Valley, NSW and winner of the 2021 Australian Training Awards, School Pathways to VET Award, the College offers students an innovative HSC program incorporating VET trade studies and industry based learning (IBL). Students can choose to study Electrotechnology, Engineering Fitting/Fabrication, Automotive or Construction. </p><p>Due to an impending retirement we have the following opportunity: </p><p><b>TEACHER, INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY/ VET TRAINER, (Timber/Construction) </b></p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>The College welcomes applications from qualified Teachers\VET Trainers to deliver Stage 6 Industrial Technology (Timber Products and Furniture Technologies) and VET Certificate II in Construction Pathways. These courses underpin our program for students aspiring to become tradespeople in the timber and construction industry. </p><p><b>Our ideal candidate will have:</b><br />• effective communication and interpersonal skills,<br />• the capacity to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and support staff.<br />• ability to integrate technology into effective classroom practice<br />• demonstrated capacity to plan and deliver engaging lessons<br />• commitment to maximising learning outcomes for all students<br />• commitment to workplace health and safety, diversity and inclusivity<br />• industry experience in construction, carpentry or furniture making.</p><p><b>Essential Criteria:<br /></b>• NESA accreditation to teach Stage 6 Industrial Technology<br />• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment<br />• CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways and/or CPC20120 Certificate II in Construction<br />• Working with Children Check for paid employment<br />• Covid vaccination</p><p><b>Desirable Criteria<br /></b>• Certificate III qualification in construction, building or carpentry<br />• Industry experience and currency in trade area<br />• RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (or willingness to gain)<br /></p><p><b># Candidates who do not meet all of the selection criteria are welcome to apply.</b> The College will support ongoing professional development for the successful candidate.</p><p><b>What we offer:<br /></b>• a passionate team committed to quality outcomes for students and families<br />• family-friendly workplace<br />• subsidised flu vaccinations<br />• Employee Assistance Program<br />• professional learning to support you in your role.<br />• 13 weeks long service leave after ten years<br />• 15 days personal leave per year<br />• 17.5% annual leave loading</p>
