Young men and women are educated in a co-educational environment which prepares them for the "real" world after secondary education and allows for a variety of learning styles</p> <h1 style="text-align: center"><span style="color: #993366">About the Role</span></h1> <p>The role of the Intra School Sports Coordinator is to support the mission of the school through leadership of the Intra School Sports Program which supports students and staff. This involves developing and implementing effective practices which are designed to enhance teaching and learning experiences at the College. It also involves ensuring sustainability of good practices into the future, developing appropriate partnerships within and outside of the school and prudently administering available resources.</p> <p>Typical duties performed may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate and meet on a regular basis with the Intra School Sports Coordinator and Sports Aide to: <ul> <li>Determine tasks and timelines</li> <li>Resolve operational issues that may arise</li> <li>Develop sporting culture</li> <li>Build staff capacity</li> </ul> </li> <li>Attend CISSA and JSS Sports Coordinator Meetings.</li> <li>Liaise with other coordinators from CISSA and JSS schools.</li> <li>Provide regular updates to CISSA / JSS coaches with regard to buses, venues and competition.</li> <li>Communicate regularly with the HPE department and HOD to discuss matters of concern where there is a crossover of interest.</li> <li>Coordinate Wednesday Afternoon Sport including onsite and offsite sports and activities for students not in CISSA or JSS.&nbsp; This will include overseeing student selection of nominated sports.</li> <li>In conjunction with the Assistant Principal Teaching &amp; Learning, allocate staffing for Wednesday Afternoon Sport including coaches for CISSA and JSS Sport.</li> <li>Assist in the organisation and conducting the annual College Sporting Carnivals.</li> <li>Coordinate and organise the District Teams for Swimming, Athletics, and Cross Country.</li> <li>Ensure CARAs and Risk Assessments are completed and up to date for sporting activities that students undertake.</li> <li>Provide regular updates to the College community regarding CISSA and JSS Teams including weekly sporting results.</li> <li>Liaise with the Sports Aide, HPE HOD and Extra Curricular Sports Coordinator to purchase new equipment as required.</li> </ul> <p>As a Teacher you will:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs</li> <li>Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning</li> <li>Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment</li> </ul> <p>Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.</p> <h3><span style="color: #993366">Work Requirements</span></h3> <ul> <li>Be registered or eligible to be register with Queensland College of Teachers</li> <li>Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education</li> </ul> <h3><span style="color: #993366">What we offer</span></h3> <ul type="disc"> <li>Competitive Salary range: per annum pending experience&nbsp;</li> <li>Annual Leave with 17.5% leave loading</li> <li>Access to salary packaging options to maximise your salary&nbsp;</li> <li>Access to additional Employer Superannuation Contributions</li> <li>Access to long service leave after 7 years of continuous service (portability of Long Service Leave may also be applicable)</li> <li>14 Weeks’ paid parental leave</li> <li>Professional development and Early Career Teacher Support</li> <li>Access to Employee Assistance Program</li> </ul> <p><span style="background-color: #ffffff">For further information about the role, please download the Position Description&nbsp;</span></p> <p><em>Intending applicants must be fully committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.</em></p> <p><em>Catholic Education is an equal opportunity employer.</em></p>
