St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1959, the College has a current enrolment of 1000 boys, Years 7 – 12. <p>St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is seeking expressions of interest from casual secondary teachers. We are looking to employ highly motivated, suitably qualified secondary casual teachers to work at the College as a Casual Relief Teacher in 2022. </p><p>If successful, you will be employed on a day-to-day basis to replace temporary or permanent teachers who are on short-term leave covering a range of subjects where a particular need arises in the College. </p><p>To join our team of professional teaching staff you are required to demonstrate that you satisfy all the following <b>essential selection criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Must have a working understanding of, and strong commitment to Catholic ethos in an Edmund Rice School</li><li>Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills</li><li>Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men</li><li>Must possess high proficiency in ICT skillset within a contemporary blended learning environment</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff and students in enhancing the quality of learning and development of young minds</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice</li><li>Qualified Secondary Teacher (note subject/s you are qualified to teach) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW</li><li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner</li><li>Demonstrated experience in differentiation of curriculum</li><li> A current and valid Working with Children Check number</li></ul><p><b>Applications should include:</b><br /></p><ol><li> A cover letter outlining your suitability for Casual Relief Teaching </li><li>A current CV outlining your qualifications, experience, and skills</li><li>Certified academic transcripts</li><li>Accreditation status with NESA</li><li>Statements of Service</li><li>The names, telephone numbers and email addresses of three (3) referees including your current employer (where applicable)</li><li>A current and valid Working with Children number and date of birth for the Working with Children Check verification</li><li>A copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate</li></ol><p>If you are interested in joining the St Dominic’s team, you are encouraged to submit your application to the Director of Administration, Mr. Ben Godsell, via email to <a href="mailto:HR&#64;stdominics.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">HR&#64;stdominics.nsw.edu.au</a>  <b><i>by 5pm on Friday, 23rd September 2022. </i></b></p><p>All applicants are encouraged to visit the College website <a href="http://www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au</a> for further information about the College. </p><p>St Dominic’s is a child safe and child-centred College, committed to the protection of children and has zero-tolerance of any abuse of children.
