We have a supportive community who take pride in the school and its achievements and actively participate in community events bringing together parents, students and teachers.<br /></p><p>At Bellfield College Junior School, we are creating and leading a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that every student, every teacher and every leader improves every year. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator position is classified as a Position of Special Responsibility under the Independent Schools NSW Teachers (Hybrid Model)  MEA 2021 with a points value of 3. The successful applicant will be remunerated at their relevant base rate salary as per this Agreement and in addition, at the rate of allowance prescribed for a 3 point coordinator position.</p><p>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator position is a classroom teaching role with a concessional period allowance provided (in addition to RFF), to carry out coordinator responsibilities.</p><p><b>This is a temporary position for term 3 and term 4, 2022 (18th July - 9th December 2022).</b></p><p> </p><p><b>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator will: </b></p><ul><li>Lead teaching, learning, and wellbeing for students within the Stage and be responsible for building a positive and cohesive team of passionate and inspired teachers</li><li>Possess a deep understanding of evidence-based pedagogy and demonstrate a commitment to engaging and developing students and teachers</li><li>Support colleagues to review, interpret and implement legislative, administrative and organisational requirements, policies and processes</li><li>Collaborate with peers and members of the College’s leadership team to guide current and future strategic priorities of the Bellfield College Junior School Improvement Plan</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications and Experience</b></p><p><b>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator will demonstrate: </b></p><ul><li>A commitment to excellence in student learning as evidenced by passionate and expert teaching</li><li>Experience in leading a professional team and managing innovative, responsive and flexible programs</li><li>A thorough understanding and commitment to best practice in curriculum design</li><li>Possess sound knowledge of the current NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) K-6 Syllabus</li><li>Ability to meet the diverse needs of all students and to foster every child&#39;s educational potential</li><li>Ability to work with and within a team</li><li>The ability to lead and assist others in growing their practice and performance</li><li>Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills both written and verbal</li><li>Well-developed organisational and administration skills including the ability to put systems in place and meet deadlines</li><li>Appropriate Australian tertiary qualifications in primary school (K - 6) teaching, with Proficient (or higher) teacher accreditation status with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li></ul><p><b>Personal Attributes </b></p><p><b>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator will be: </b></p><ul><li>Authentic with a strong personal presence, poise and capacity to inspire and care for students, staff and stakeholders</li><li>Confident in engaging with parents and students</li><li>Able to articulate and engage with a personal warmth that engenders mutual respect and builds commitment and community at the College</li><li>Optimistic, demonstrate respect, have a growth mindset and be solution focused</li><li>Self-motivated, show initiative and practice accountability</li><li>Supportive of the values of Bellfield College and be willing to contribute to the total life of the College.</li><li>Professional and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality</li></ul><p><b>Reporting Relationships </b></p><p><b>The K - 2 Stage Coordinator will: </b></p><ul><li><b>Be responsible to </b>– Head of Junior School</li><li><b>Work with</b> – Deputy Head of Junior School, Head of Illuminations and Stage Coordinators</li><li><b>Be responsible for</b> – K - 2 Stage team (teachers and students)</li></ul><p><b>Specific Selection criteria </b></p><ul><li>Proven capacity to balance the demands of the leadership role of a Stage Coordinator with classroom teaching</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a dynamic member of the executive team to facilitate, implement and evaluate school initiatives within the Junior School Strategic Improvement Plan</li><li>An approachable and highly visible leader with the capacity to build strong teams and support the ethos, principles and practices of the College</li><li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead the delivery of high-quality differentiated teaching and learning which include 21st Century learning and skills</li><li>Experience and interest in embedding Digital Technologies in teaching programs and authentic learning experiences, such as coding, robotics and Learning Management Systems</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and lead positive learning environments with an extensive understanding of effective behaviour management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes</li></ul><p><i>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.</i></p><p><b>How to apply </b></p><p>Please complete and submit the following documents directly to Amy Carrigg, Human Resources Manager via email hr&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au.
