<p>LOWTHER HALL </p><p>Lowther Hall is an inclusive school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12, committed to excellence for all. Situated in Essendon, it is the only Anglican independent school for girls in the area. The School has an enrolment of 900, a size which enables each girl to be known as an individual. Lowther Hall is a learning community in which staff and students work together to achieve the shared goal of educating the whole girl for the whole of life. </p><p>POSITION DESCRIPTION </p><p>The successful applicant should exhibit a depth of teaching experience and strong leadership skills. They should be an excellent Physical Education practitioner whose teaching is informed by contemporary research. They will be committed to their own learning and professional development. Passionate about their field, they will demonstrate the ability to build a culture of success in and enjoyment of their subject by students and to ensure high standards of teaching and learning. </p><p>This role also involves pastoral care and participation in the co-curricular program. </p><p>Support of the School’s values is essential. </p><p>SELECTION CRITERIA </p><p>Applicants should provide a statement of no more than 300 words which outlines the ways in which they fulfil the following criteria: </p><ol><li>Appropriate qualifications as a primary school teacher </li><li>A proven record as an outstanding physical education teacher </li><li>Success in fostering in girls a love of sport and a commitment to excellence for girls of all abilities </li><li>Ability to develop productive relationships with students, staff and parents </li><li>Excellent organisational, administrative and presentation skills </li><li>A genuine interest in leading staff </li><li>Openness to feedback and appetite for professional growth </li><li>An understanding of the Lowther Hall context and requirements for ensuring child safety<br /></li></ol><p><br />ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p><ol><li>Current VIT registration </li><li>Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate – with a commitment to on-going training </li><li>Current anaphylaxis management certificate </li><li>Current asthma management certificate </li><li>Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Record Check upon appointment </li><li>Provide evidence of being fully vaccinated in relation to COVID-19 or that you have obtained certification from a medical practitioner that you have a medical contraindication to the administration of a COVID-19 vaccine</li></ol><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
