The College is seeking to employ an experienced educator and leader with a background in Early Childhood education beginning in 2023.

<p>Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a vibrant P-12 independent College located with close access to the M5 and M7 in the South West of Sydney. We are guided by our vision – Growing and nurturing excellence in learning, wisdom and service. </p><p>The College is seeking to employ an experienced educator and leader with a background in Early Childhood education in 2023. The Prep Year Leader will oversee four classes of pre-kindergarten and lead the Prep team to deliver a quality school-readiness program, including transition initiatives. The right candidate will be able to gather, inspire and lead others, and have an expert understanding of 21st-century learning and teaching. She/he will be an active Christian who understands how to integrate faith and education in relevant and authentic ways. </p><p>Our Prep program is designed with a focus on pre-numeracy, pre-literacy, social skills and the routines of a learning environment in order for students to make a successful transition into Kindergarten. Classes have 20 students per class, with options for a two day or three day program. The class structure consists of one qualified primary teacher and one teacher assistant for the 20 students. The Prep Year Leader teaches a two day and three day group in the program as part of the Prep team in our purpose-built Early Childhood Centre on campus. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>the successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria: </p><p>• Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible-based Christian Church. </p><p>• A role model as an exceptional Early Childhood teacher who is able to support the grade team in effective Early Childhood practices and oversee the well-being of the students in Prep. </p><p>• Ability to coach and mentor Prep staff to achieve professional goals. </p><p>• Evidence of leadership in Early Childhood innovation and development of curriculum and assessment. </p><p>• Ability to build and lead an effective team and work collaboratively as part of the Junior School leadership team (P-6). </p><p>• Promoting purposeful and effective uses of technology in the delivery of the Prep program. </p><p>• Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet prescribed deadlines. </p><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><p>• Primary teaching or Early Childhood qualifications and NESA accreditation </p><p>• Experience teaching in a Prep (Pre-Kindergarten) setting is essential </p><p>• Experience teaching in K-2 Primary years is an advantage </p><p>• Experienced Teacher Accreditation (ISTAA) is an advantage </p><p><b>Applications should include: </b></p><p>• Cover application letter </p><p>• Completion of Employment Application form available on the College website - This should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three confidential referees.
