The principles of the Lutheran Church of Australia form the foundation of our approach. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will be responsible for leading each student to value and pursue excellence across all aspects of school life, incorporating a variety of age-appropriate teaching strategies to engage students in their learning. </p><p>This is your chance to:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate your professional approach to teaching and a high level of skill in classroom teaching duties including pastoral care</li><li>Develop positive working partnerships with students, parents and colleagues, and foster a supportive and effective environment for the development of the whole child</li><li>Commit to your own professional development through regular training and development opportunities and personal reflection or study</li><li>Support the development and improvement of the school’s policies and procedures</li><li>Actively support (and at times lead) the devotional and worship aspects of the school</li></ul><div><p><b>About you </b></p><p>We believe our students deserve extraordinary teaching and pastoral care so only those dedicated to being the best and bringing out the best in others need apply. While your qualifications and experience are important, we also look for the right person with the right values to fit our team. </p><p>You’ll have:</p><ul><li>Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and knowledge of current education practice and NESA curriculum documents for key learning areas</li><li>Demonstrated professional skills that foster effective learning partnerships with students, parents and staff</li><li>Demonstrated skills in supporting the Christian ethos of the school, and some experience leading worship and devotional aspects</li><li>Demonstrated skills in analysing data, planning and implementing effective differentiated programs, and monitoring student progress to ensure high standards of learning</li><li>Demonstrated confidence, flexibility, team attitude and perseverance to work in a learning community</li></ul></div>
