NEGS is seeking a Head of Board to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated management team.

Our students hail from as far away as the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Far North Queensland and beyond and mix with our locals from Armidale, Tamworth, Moree, Walcha and surrounding towns. </p><p><b>Purpose of the Position </b></p><p>Critical to this role is the enthusiasm and drive to provide quality care and ensure the well-being of the students entrusted to our care. </p><p>The Head of Boarding is a senior leadership role, responsible for ensuring the Boarding Program reflects and contributes to our quality Pastoral Care Program. You are responsible to the Principal and the Business Manager, for providing proactive leadership and management of NEGS Boarding Houses. You must be a mentor and a leader to your team, ensuring that the experience provided by the NEGS Boarding Team, is one that exceeds the expectations of our students, parents and guardians. </p><p><b>Selection Criteria </b></p><p>• Relevant experience in a similar role or environment with significant boarding supervisory component. </p><p>• A successful track record in understanding the principles of and passion for current best practice in Boarding House management. </p><p>• Outstanding communication skills. </p><p>• The ability to build and maintain excellent relationships. </p><p>• A demonstrated ability to make good judgements, display initiative, produce work of high quality, with attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership and responsibility for measurable outcomes. </p><p>• A demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, solve problems, undertake research and to think strategically about opportunities in boarding, balance competing priorities, and work collaboratively with colleagues. </p><p>• Maintain confidentiality and ensure privacy. </p><p><b>Required Qualifications/Registrations </b></p><p>• Current WWC number </p><p>• Driver’s Licence </p><p>• First Aid and CPR qualification </p><p>• Youth Mental Health First Aid </p><p>• Australian Boarding Schools Association Duty of Care Course </p><p><br /></p>
