St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School is located in Armstrong Creek. Our learning journey commenced in 2020 with students from P-5 and we have continued to create a welcoming and engaging school of learners P-6 in 2022. <p>We are seeking suitably qualified, highly motivated and dynamic Classroom Teachers/s to form part of our staff team for 2023. </p><p>The successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children. The position/s will commence in Term One, 2023. </p><p>Both fixed term and ongoing positions are available</p><p><b>Role Description</b></p><p>St Catherine of Siena Primary School is a collaborative, vibrant and dynamic Catholic school and we warmly welcome interest and applications from experienced teachers as well as graduates and encourage staff of the highest calibre to join our staff team.</p><p><b>We are in search of teachers who are committed to: </b></p><ul><li>Nurturing a faith community within a Catholic context. </li></ul><div>Child Safety is the responsibility of all staff and in particular, you are expected to: </div><ul><li>Be familiar with and comply with the school&#39;s child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety </li><li>Assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for students </li><li>Demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing </li></ul><div> </div><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Responsibilities for Learning Support Teacher </b></p><ul><li>To work as an integral part of a year level team, working closely with classroom teachers to plan and deliver differentiated instruction to target students&#39; next stage of learning. </li><li>To provide differentiated teaching instruction for students at all capabilities </li><li>To support Learning Support Officers to fulfil their roles </li><li>To oversee and organise the work and timetable of the Learning Support Officer and clarify their timetable and responsibilities throughout the week. </li><li>To ensure that the relevant documentation concerning individual students is recorded and filed. </li><li>To liaise with the Learning Diversity Leader about student needs </li><li>To support the implementation of Personalised Learning Plans </li><li>To work within teams to regularly review student learning goals, record evidence of progress and update learning goals </li><li>To undertake classroom teaching responsibilities as required </li><li>To work as a teaching team member to undertake assessment and data analysis to identify and plan for instruction that meets student learning needs </li><li>In collaboration with the team, ensure parent communication is consistent in the team and sent out in a timely manner. </li><li>To attend school events, excursions etc. as a member of the year level team </li><li>To attend staff meetings and professional learning team sessions (pro-rata)</li><li>To attend Parent-Teacher meetings/Learning Conversations, and parent support group meetings as required</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>Please elaborate on your experience and strengths in the following areas: </p><p><b>1) The successful applicant will: </b></p><ul><li>have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education. </li><li>have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation.</li></ul><p><b>2) The successful applicant will: </b></p><ul><li>demonstrate successful approaches to student wellbeing in the classroom and school community </li><li>have knowledge of and be able to demonstrate implementation of the current Child Safety Standards</li></ul><p><b>3) The successful applicant will: </b></p><ul><li>possess the skills and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with rich and rewarding educational experiences </li><li>create, build and embrace a positive collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning</li></ul><p><b>4) The successful applicants will </b></p><ul><li>be appropriately qualified and hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration </li><li>demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, using evidence based strategies, including the use of data and feedback to enable and enhance student learning </li><li>demonstrate the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community</li></ul>
