Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 20,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p><b>Location:</b> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong, Mr Peter Hill is recruiting an experienced Strategy Manager to shape Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong’s long-term strategic plan, <em>Lighting The Way 2023+</em>. This position will commence as soon as possible by negotiation.</p> <p>The Strategy Manager will report to the Director of Schools and will be tasked with assessing organisational performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness and support school improvement.&nbsp;</p> <p>To succeed as Strategy Manager, the successful applicant will have a commitment to Catholic Education, research experience, an analytical mind, outstanding presentation skills and proven leadership acumen.</p> <p>Strategy Manager Responsibilities:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support the development of Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong’s&nbsp;long-term strategic plan, <em>Lighting the Way 2023+.</em></li> <li>Identify threats and opportunities.</li> <li>Align goals, processes and resource allocation with organisational strategy.</li> <li>Conduct research and analysis of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders.</li> <li>Present findings, projections and recommended actions.</li> <li>Plan, implement and manage proposed recommendations and projects.</li> <li>Monitor and report on projects.</li> <li>Support the decision-making processes of the leadership team.</li> </ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated commitment to supporting the Mission of the Catholic Church in Education.</li> <li>At least 5 years experience in senior positions with a proven ability to successfully provide clear and balanced advice on a broad range of strategic issues.</li> <li>Proven project management experience in delivering projects demonstrating experience in identifying risk in projects.&nbsp; This includes working with risk management approaches and mitigation strategies across multiple stakeholder complex operational environments.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to collaboratively influence others to obtain broad stakeholder support when developing, implementing, and promoting initiatives in a distributive leadership environment.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal, negotiation and engagement skills including the ability to effectively lead, guide and mentor others/teams.</li> <li>Written communication skills of the highest order (including the ability to prepare research papers/briefings/media releases/presentations as well as communications for specific purposes and tailored to particular audiences).</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to use business technologies and analyse data and information effectively.</li> <li>Sound organisational skills as well as a demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, judgement and discretion when working under pressure to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Genuine interest and commitment to keeping abreast of developments and trends impacting on Catholic education. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative to share knowledge with relevant stakeholders as required.</li> <li>Relevant bachelor degree and at least 5-10 years experience in working in leadership/strategic roles.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child- related work and therefore a Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required before your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>VACCINATION REQUIREMENT</p> <p>CEDoW recognises the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone in the workplace is central to the mission and success of our schools and offices.
