A key accountability for the Deputy Head of Junior School is to co-lead the curriculum and best practice approaches in teaching and learning for Years K-6 (680 students) and to support and assist the Head of the Junior School in daily activities.

<p>The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate:<br />•    Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in NSW<br />•    Proven record of excellence in teaching<br />•    High level of understanding of current and future curriculum requirements<br />•    Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills<br />•    Previous experience in educational leadership roles<br />•    Liaise with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Headmaster ensuring a smooth functioning school<br />•    Commitment to a K-12 ethos<br />•    Support and lead initiatives to achieve high level academic performance<br />•    Assist Head of Junior School to ensure curriculum implementation<br />•    Capacity to mentor and supervise staff<br />•    Commitment to work closely with the Middle School to enhance Years 5-7 transition and continuity of learning<br />•    Good administrative skills, with a sound level of flexibility and adaptability<br />•    A commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the School <br /><br />Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the School’s Strategic Plan ‘Striving for Excellence’, available on our website at www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au.
