<p>The role of the Deputy Principal/Student Wellbeing Leader is to support the Principal and Leadership Team to plan, deliver and enact initiatives across the school, to realise the vision and mission of Christ the Priest Primary School. </p><p>Consequently, under the direction of the Principal, the Deputy Principal has shared responsibility for leadership in the ongoing development of Christ the Priest Catholic Primary School as a school of first choice for Catholic families within the St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Caroline Springs. </p><p>The role of Deputy Principal/Student Wellbeing Leader is a multi-faceted one and requires highly developed and proven interpersonal, communication, organisational, personnel management, policy development and implementation, student wellbeing, behaviour education, curriculum knowledge and administrative skills.</p><p>Christ the Priest is a Positive Behaviour Learning School. The successful applicant should be driven and dedicated to lead this approach along with a strong social and emotional learning focus. The school is in its third year of the PBL journey and has established a universal approach to behaviour learning. The renewed focus in this area is toward tier 2 intervention approaches.</p><p>Whilst the current role excludes regular classroom duties and responsibilities, a willingness to assume and commit to some level of teaching and classroom involvement will be necessary in order to respond fully to the emerging needs of our school. </p><p>Christ the Priest Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </p><p>Special Requirements </p><ul><li>    recent success and experience in a senior leadership position </li><li>    post-graduate qualifications are desirable </li><li>    accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school </li><li>    current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, inclusive of a Police Check.</li></ul><p>NOTE: Please note, that an appointment may be made prior to the closing date if a suitable applicant has been identified fulfilling the requirements of the school and the position.</p>
