We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0FTE) teaching role starting Term 1, 2023.

Ascham is an inclusive, day and boarding school that provides a strong academic program within a warm, welcoming environment. </p><p>We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0FTE) teaching role starting Term 1, 2023. </p><p><b>Applicants will be able to demonstrate a track record of: </b></p><p>• Their students producing a range of high-quality work </p><p>• An ability to deliver safe and engaging lessons </p><p>• An understanding of key concepts and the ability to demonstrate practical techniques </p><p>• An awareness and ability to provide and manage a safe work environment </p><p>• Appropriate use of ICT </p><p>• An ability to develop self-efficacy in the students they teach </p><p><b>What you have to do to succeed: </b></p><p>• A tertiary major in English literature and accreditation with NESA </p><p>• Willingness to teach Extension 1 and 2 stage 6 syllabus (highly desirable) </p><p>• Excellent communication and writing skills </p><p>• Excellent ICT skills and willingness to develop ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school </p><p>• Willingness to carry out other duties as required by the Head of School that fall within the parameters of the role </p><p>• Provides references and Working with Children Documentation </p><p>• Supports the ethos and strategic direction of the school </p><p>• Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students </p><p>• Ability to teach to the strengths of girls </p><p>The successful applicant will enjoy small class sizes, a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits. </p><p>Further information (including position description) for this role is available at www.ascham.nsw.edu.au. </p><p>Please apply via Seek with your cover letter, CV (please include WWCC, NESA &amp; First Aid details) and the names and contact details of two referees by <b>COB 8 July 2022. </b></p><p>Please note, we will not proceed with applications that do not have this information and will be reviewing applications as we receive them. </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
