Excellent opportunity for a Visual Arts, Technology Teacher to join our friendly, talented and dedicated teaching team.

You will be responsible for managing student learning within the creative arts team, preparing lessons and curriculums, as well as guiding students through the completion of major works and projects.</p><p>In addition to teaching responsibilities, you will have duties in relation to student welfare and discipline, supervision and fostering good relationships with the students, their parents/guardians and the wider community through friendly and professional communication.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p><b>Required: </b></p><p>• A Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma, or Masters, of Education. </p><p>• Current Teachers Accreditation with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). </p><p>• Hold or ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number. </p><p>• Ability to use a range of instructional techniques and media consistent with available resources and student needs and capabilities. </p><p>• Guide students in the development of portfolio’s, major works and projects. </p><p>• Plan, coordinate and prepare displays and exhibitions for the school and for the community. </p><p>• Outstanding people skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. </p><p>• Highly organised, with competent administration and IT skills. </p><p>• Committed to ongoing professional development and personal growth. </p><p>• Be skilled in classroom management. </p><p>• Understand the need to provide effective feedback. </p><p>• Possess a drive to achieve the best outcomes for students, parents and the School. </p><p>• Willingness to attend School events as an active member in the School community. </p><p>• Willingness to contribute and display an active commitment to the pastoral care and co-curricular programs in the School. </p><p>• Appreciation of the principles and practices of independent schools, in particular, boarding schools. </p><p><b>Preferred: </b></p><p>• Demonstrated experience in a similar position. </p><p>• The ability to teach a variety of subjects would be advantageous.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
