Full time position supporting the Business Manager in financial processing and reporting, budgeting and compliance.

<p><i>Grace Lutheran Primary School, established in 1971, is a vibrant co-educational Christian School of over 450 students on the Redcliffe Peninsula. </i></p><p><b>School Accountant </b></p><p><b>Permanent full-time position </b></p><p><b>EA SO Level 7, Step 1 - 5 $93,873 - $100,790 pa </b></p><p><b>(76 hours per fortnight / 48 working weeks per year) </b></p><p>The School Accountant plays a significant role in supporting the Business Manager to undertake the financial management of the School and any other associated entities. Specifically, the School Accountant will support the Business Manager in the following: </p><ul><li>Financial processing and reporting </li><li>Budgeting and compliance </li><li>Forecasting </li><li>Payroll </li><li>Overseeing day to day operations including; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash-related functions </li><li>WHS and risk management </li></ul><p><b>THE SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT WILL HAVE: </b></p><ul><li>A relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting or related discipline). </li><li>CPA qualification or working towards. </li><li>Experience (3&#43; years&#39;) and knowledge in Accounting practices/commercial environment, a high level of computer literacy, and ability to analyse financial and non-financial data. </li><li>A proactive attitude with the ability to see the wider perspective. </li><li>A commitment to uphold, support and contribute to the School Vision and Mission statements, along with the Strategic Plan. </li></ul><p><b>DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS </b></p><ul><li>Experience working in a similar role </li><li>Knowledge of TASS and/or Xplor </li></ul><p><b>WORKING RELATIONSHIPS </b></p><ul><li>Ultimately responsible to the Principal </li><li>Business Manager </li><li>Risk &amp; Finance Committee </li><li>Deputy Principals </li><li>Business Office </li><li>Service Leader </li></ul><p><b>MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS </b></p><p>The successful applicant will possess, or agree to obtain the following: </p><ul><li>A <b>valid and current Paid Blue Card. </b></li><li><b>COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate</b> as mandated by the Queensland Government for all staff working in a school environment.
