Psychologist required for 12 month maternity leave position.

<p>About the role:  </p><p> • Work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide coherent interventions for the improved wellbeing for students. </p><p>• Provision of counselling to young people including brief interventions and individual counselling. Treatment must be informed by a range of evidence based conceptual frameworks. </p><p>• Facilitation of group psycho-educational programs (e.g. Tuning Into Teens and Seasons for Growth). </p><p>• Provision of client assessments including risk assessments (eg. suicide and self-harm, violence, risk to others, risk to self), identification of presenting issues, observational assessments, clinical interviews and appropriate psychometric assessment (eg. Schemas and Attitude, Mood and Trauma, WISC or WAIS). </p><p>• To provide assessment services for students with special intellectual, learning and/or social/emotional needs and communicate results to teachers and parents. </p><p>• Maintain detailed and accurate records of student assessments and outcomes. </p><p>• Maintenance of up to date electronic case files. </p><p>• Develop, document and facilitate implementation of evidence based classroom/teacher designed programs for children with intellectual, learning and/or social/emotional needs. </p><p>• Assist teachers, in liaison with Curriculum Advisers, the learning enhancement team and the pastoral team, in the implementation of curriculum programs for students. </p><p>• Provide and liaise with professional development teams and staff to coordinate and provide evidence based professional development activities that are responsive to needs. </p><p>• Liaise with Academic staff to enhance the literacy and numeracy intervention strategies established in partnership for students with intellectual, learning and/or social/emotional needs. </p><p>• Support parents to access the resources of the Wellbeing Team and/or external agencies as necessary. </p><p>• Implement and evaluate government and sector initiatives relating to children with intellectual, learning and/or social/emotional needs. </p><p>• Consult with other staff, parents and external agencies to ensure ACK policies relating to children with intellectual, learning or social/emotional needs are understood and incorporated into school planning. </p><p>• Attend meetings and supervision as required. </p><p>• Other duties as required by the Principal. </p><p>• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology</p><p><br /></p>
