<h4><b>College Overview </b></h4><p>Emmaus Christian College is an independent, non-denominational Christian school. We provide high quality Christian education to children and young people who are from Christian families that are actively involved in their local church and other families who fully support the involvement of their children in the Christian teaching, life and expression of the school. </p><p>It is critical to the College that our Christian beliefs are lived and modelled by our staff. Therefore, we seek to employ staff whose lives are a genuine reflection of their Christian faith. </p><p>Emmaus Christian College is one school, two campuses. The South Plympton Campus (F-12) operates as three sub schools: Junior School, Middle School and Senior School. </p><h4>The Roles </h4><p>We are seeking two Full Time (or Part Time equivalent) Middle and Senior School Teachers with the ability to teach in one or more of the following: </p><ul><li>Maths </li><li>Science </li><li>English<br /></li><li>Digital Technologies </li><li>Design and Technology </li></ul><p>Teaching Years 7-10, the successful applicants will be a part of a team of committed teachers and will have support from teaching colleagues and school administration staff as they deal with the needs of students in their class. </p><h5>Day to day responsibilities include: </h5><ul><li>Classroom teaching in Years 7 to 10 classes </li><li>Pastoral care for a Home Group, including morning devotions </li><li>Providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities for students </li><li>Willingness to work co-operatively </li><li>Delivering challenging and engaging curriculum </li><li>Ensure a distinctive Christian education by motivating and inspiring students in their faith </li><li>Encourage students in a positive and supportive learning environment where student achievements are acknowledged </li><li>Support and encourage a strong sense of community in the College and in the wider community </li></ul><h4>Selection Criteria </h4><ul><li>A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord </li><li>Demonstrate a passion for Biblically based Christian education </li><li>Demonstrated experience in teaching Science and Maths curriculum in a Middle and Senior School setting </li><li>Ability to differentiate curriculum to the needs of children who enter the school with differing abilities </li><li>Excellent behaviour management skills, reflecting restorative practices, which contribute to minimal classroom disruption </li><li>Evidence of high-level interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students </li><li>Demonstrated ability in problem solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management </li><li>Competent with classroom Information Communication Technologies </li><li>An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education</li></ul><h4>Contact</h4><p>Please contact The Human Resource Manager on 8292 3888 or email HR&#64;Emmauscc.sa.edu.au for any further information about this position.</p><p><b>Applications close Monday 6 June 9am.</b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
