St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton is seeking a temporary part time (30 hours per week) School Officer - Receptionist to join the team in 2022. St Catherine's Catholic College draws its students from the Singleton local Government Area. Singleton is approximately 73 kilometres from Newcastle, close to attractions such as historical villages of Morpeth and Wollombi and a 30minute drive from the beautiful vineyard area of the Hunter Valley. The College is a co-educational school offering a comprehensive curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We have a Gifted Education Program and provide differentiated curriculum for students with diverse learning needs, both intervention and extension. <p> In this position you will work under the supervision of the Office Manager to deliver high quality customer service as the first point of contact for visitors to the school. Position requirements include but are not limited to: <br>• responding professionally to and directing incoming calls <br>• greeting, directing and accounting for visitors to the school <br>• managing school mail and deliveries <br>• typing of documents as directed by the Office Manager <br>• ensuring the cleanliness of the reception area and ensuring it is a welcoming space <br>• preparation of office memos as required <br>• general office administration including printing, maintaining records, typing and preparation of documents If you are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and administrative service and you possess a professional, warm, supportive and enthusiastic disposition then we invite you to come and join our Team and school community. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and a commitment to actively support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school <br>• Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills; <br>• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with good spelling and grammatical skills <br>• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines <br>• Demonstrated experience using initiative and self-motivation in the workplace; <br>• Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks. <br>• Intermediate experience and ability to work with various databases, Microsoft office programs and excel; <br>• Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multi task to meet various deadlines; <br>• An understanding of, and the ability to, maintain a high level of confidentiality <br>• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment; <br>• Flexibility in managing tasks <br>• Capacity to initiate strategies for improvement <br>• Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.
