De La Salle Revesby Heights is seeking to appoint an energetic and highly skilled Science teacher for a part-time/temporary teaching position at the College commencing as soon as possible this year. The hours and days are flexible in this role (anywhere between 0.4 - 0.7 full-time equivalent), with some half days possible. Commencing Term 2 until the end of the year.

<p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the College and utilise effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to enhance 21st century pedagogy.<br /></p><p>Applicants should address the following essential criteria: </p><ul><li>qualifications in teaching Science in Stages 4, 5 and 6 </li><li>a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church </li><li>an ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning </li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies </li><li>a sound understanding of current educational research, including authentic assessment practices, differentiation and effective feedback </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>capable of empowering students to be independent and creative learners </li></ul><p>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role: </p><ul><li>strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>ability to work collaboratively in a team environment </li><li>strong organisational skills </li><li>current Working with Children Check (WWCC) </li><li>Sydney Catholic Schools’ employment number is desirable, but not essential. </li></ul><p>Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
