<p>Due to the ongoing expansion of the Transition Programme educating four-year-old children, the Headmaster is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator to this full-time permanent position. The successful candidates will join the highly professional, dynamic and industrious Junior School team. A distinct advantage is a willingness to teach across Early Stage 1 to Stage 3. </p><p>The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of well-resourced facilities, an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment) and a supportive Christian teaching environment.</p><p>Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>a passion for teaching and deep knowledge of how pre-kindergarten children learn;</li><li>an understanding of and commitment to student wellbeing; </li><li>well-developed written, oral and organisational skills;</li><li>an innovative approach to teaching and learning;</li><li>a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation; </li><li>a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and,</li><li>a deep understanding of how students think and learn.</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate an innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes, and an understanding of best practices in student assessment and feedback.
